BUSIA DISTRICT COUNCIL STUDY VISIT TO BUIKWE AND MAYUGE DISTRICTS

The District Council including some key technocrats set of for a tour visit on 19th March 2023. The team was led by the District chairperson having the first engagement at Njeru Stock Farm in Buikwe District. At the farm, the team was taken through the mandate of National Genetic Resources Centre and Data Bank (NAGRC & DB) by the Senior Farm Manager.
Opportunities of the agency were shared with the team and a tour of the site for the team to appreciate all activities being run at the farm. Different breeds of livestock bred at the farm were seen by the team.
