UPTO 48 MILLION SHILLINGS OF YOUTH LIVELIHOOD PROJECT- YLP FUNDS DISBURSED TO TEN YOUTH GROUPS IN BUSIA DISTRICT
Today we have disbursement upto 48 million shillings under Youth Livelihood Project (YLP) to ten youth groups across the district following finalization of signing all the required paperwork at the District. The group leaders were engaged by the District Community Development Officer, OKumu Semu on financial literacy and cautioned on putting the funds into the right use.
The ten groups include:
1. Kamu- Kamu Youth Piggery group.
2. Obwicha Buhira Ehonge
3. Angarama Young Women Piggery Group
4. Sibarara South Youth Group
5. Asopotoit Youth Piggery Group
6. Buwero Welders Youth Group
7. Butangasi Youth Piggery Group.
8. Bulecha Youth Piggery Keeping Group.
9. Maduwa’B’ Together we Can Youth Group.
10. Nambengere Youth Carpentry Group.
This marks the first time YLP is being disbursed after four years. During the four years we have been recovering the funds from the youths groups that had benefited earlier so that new groups can also benefit. We shall continue to follow up on the first beneficiaries so as to mobilise more funds for more Youth Groups.
