MELAC AGRI PROJECT HOLDS ITS 6TH GRADUATION

MELAC Agri Project today held it’s 6th graduation of farmers since Inception in Busitema.The organisation trains community members in agronomy with an aim of creating self sustainability and productivity through training farmers in modernised agriculture, introduction of improved seed variety, food security and nutrition.
The function was presided over by the Deputy RDC, Grace Kanuna who commended the Organisation for transforming communities in Busitema by using an approach that is compatible with Parish Development Model.
The Director,Lakitari Louis while giving his remarks announced that the organisation will be extending to Ajuketi Parish where the organisation was offered 5 acres of land do carryout agriculture including demonstration.
Besides protective gears and certificates, graduands were given improved seed variety of beans and maize for start up.
