DISCO MATANGA, A NIGHT MARE TO THE BOYS,GIRLS AND FAMILIES OF BUTEBA SUB COUNTY

As we continue to involve young people in meaningful engagement, yesterday EASSI an organization under PowerToYouthUganda consortium supported an intergenerational dialogue on key issues affecting young people in Buteba.#Discomatanga still emerged as one of harmful practices leading to teenage pregnancy, school dropout and early marriages despite various interventions. This points towards having a regulation as noted by the District Vice Chairperson, Nasisamba Christine and Assistant RDC, Doreen Nafuna who was the Chief guest.
The dialogue informed the Family and Child protection bill being processed by District Council.
