DEPUTY RESIDENT COMMISSIONER - GRACE KANUNA COMMISSIONS EDUCATION PROJECTS

As the Financial Year 2023/24 comes to close, Deputy RDC, Grace Kanuna took of his time to commission completed projects under Education.
The activity commenced earlier in the day of 5th June 2024 leading a team of technocrats, security personnel and political leaders from the District to respective areas where projects have been completed as listed;
1. Construction of 2 classroom block at Bulobi P/S by Nas Contractors Ltd
2. Renovation of 2 classroom block at Buduli P/S by Markunder Holdings limited
3. Completion of 2 classroom block at Sibiyirise P/S by Applefreight Uganda Limited
4. Renovation of 2 classroom block at Buwalira P/S contracted to Lit General Agency limited
4. Construction of 4 stance lined pit latrine at Buwalira P/S by little General Agency.
5. Renovation of 2 classroom block at Mawero P/S contracted to Mukhuuwa Divine Services limited
6. Construction of 2 classroom block at Nasweswe P/S contracted to Time Traders Transporters limited

However the Deputy RDC declined to commission a 4 stance lined latrine pit latrine at Bulobi P/S constructed by Nas Contractors limited due to shoddy works and directed the Contactor to fix the identified errors before it can be commissioned.
He cautioned the project beneficiaries to jealously protect the facilities provided and called upon the contractors to always ensure there is value for money because the Government invests a lot of money in the projects and has a standard that must be maintained.
